JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood (trading locally as WOOD KSS LLP) is currently looking for Senior Planner - Expression of interest (KZ passport holders) to join our team in Atyrau, Kazakhstan.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Project Controls Manager. This position requires a sound understanding of planning and community development and must have the ability to think innovatively.

• Review and maintain planning control structures are developed and maintained in alignment with approved Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
• Liaise with Estimating / Project Engineering / Lead Engineers / Client and other as appropriate to identify and quantify project scopes
• Prepare schedule in conjunction with those who responsible for their execution, for all project work in accordance with project procedures
• Development and management of Level 1, 2, 3 and 4 project schedules as required for each element of work authorized by Client
• Issue Project Schedules and Report in accordance with the Contract requirements
• Ensure that all project schedules are fully logic linked and show the critical path and total float for all activities
• Assess and communicate the schedule impact of change notifications
• Participate in Risk analysis if required
• Review externally produced schedules to ensure that they comply with project needs
• Preparation of project report including manhours, progress and productivity, histograms, fully developed working schedule, S-Curve, forecasts
• Identify areas where performance is at variance with the baseline schedule and discuss corrective actions with those who responsible for execution of the work
• Interface with Cost Controls department to forecast final man-hours estimate expenditures

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree
• A minimum of 5-7 years related experience
