Are you passionate about marine and subsea engineering and eager to make a significant impact in the energy sector? As a Marine/Subsea Mechanical & Structure Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and analyzing offshore/marine and subsea structures and mechanical systems. Your expertise will ensure the safety and compliance of our projects with industry standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions and provide technical support during construction and installation phases.

Key Responsibilities:

Innovative design and analysis:
• Develop and analyze cutting-edge offshore/marine and subsea structures and mechanical systems, including subsea nodes (UTA/CTA/SDU...), installation aids, offshore cable industry equipment.
• Perform structural calculations and simulations to ensure the integrity and safety of our projects.
• Utilize industry-leading software for structural analysis and design.

Dynamic Project Management :
• Follow project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful project completion.
• Prepare and review detailed calculations and drawings on project-related subjects such as rigging, pad-eyes, sea-fastening, installation & construction vessel grillages, etc.
• Manage project design reviews and constructability reviews with precision.
• Work closely with other project marine engineers, offshore project managers, and clients to develop comprehensive installation and subsea solutions.
• Participate in internal meetings, client meetings, yard visits, mobilizations/demobilizations, and offshore works.
• Oversee supplier calls for tender and selection processes, including qualifications, clarifications, and recommendations.
• Provide technical and engineering support and guidance to offshore/marine or on-site teams.

Compliance, safety and documentation excellence:
• Ensure all designs and implementations comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings (with the assistance of a draftsman), specifications, and reports.
• Review and approve FEED, Tender, and detailed engineering documents with meticulous attention to detail.
• Drive innovative solutions to optimize subsea structures and enhance safety.
• Participate in safety and quality initiatives, making recommendations to ensure compliance with HSE standards.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to assess the condition and performance of offshore/marine structures.

Wanted profil
  • Degree in Structural, Mechanical, or Marine Engineering.
  • Several years of experience in offshore and subsea engineering, with a focus on structures and mechanical systems.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale projects, including budget and schedule tracking.
  • Expertise in engineering software such as AutoCAD, ABAQUS, NSO/ISYMOST, SACS, DEEPLINES, ORCAFLEX and other relevant tools.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in French is an asset.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to drive innovative solutions for challenging offshore environments.
  • Experience working in a team environment and leading safe work plans.
  • Knowledge of hydrodynamics and wave/current loading is preferred.
