Job Summary

A Manufacturing Planner is responsible for coordinating and optimizing production schedules, ensuring efficient material flow, and meeting customer demands while maintaining cost-effectiveness. This role involves close collaboration with production teams, supply chain functions, and engineering departments to develop and implement effective manufacturing plans.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts, resource availability, and manufacturing capacity.
• Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
• Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to accommodate changes in demand, delays, or unforeseen disruptions.
• Analyze manufacturing workflows and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to address production issues and optimize processes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and industry regulations.
• Generate reports on production performance, inventory levels, and material requirements.
• Utilize ERP/MRP systems to manage planning and scheduling activities.
• Support cost-reduction initiatives while maintaining product quality and delivery timelines.
• Communicate with stakeholders, including suppliers and customers
• Point of contact for internal customers and product lines - provide updates and responses for enquiries, lead times and production status

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• 5+ years' Experience in manufacturing planning, preferably in the oil and gas equipment industry.
• Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., JdEdwards).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong knowledge about manufacturing processes and shopfloor
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus
