Job Duties:
- Assist in analyzing production requirements and launch the appropriate orders for manufactured goods. Monitor the status of these orders, and react to any changes or discrepancies in the appropriate manner.
- Improve information flow from engineering requirements to the production schedule including raw materials / finished materials and date planning.
- Production and inventory planning is essential to be successful in this role.
- Maintain a role in the order release process. Provide internal direction and assistance with assigned Product lines.
- Provide technical and administrative support to manufacturing.
- Develop and provide input to Manufacturing build plan.
- Develop priorities and communicate with support functions while taking an active role in problem resolution as required.
Job Requirements:
- Broad knowledge and experience in: MRP, BOM, Routings and order release systems
- Above average skills in: Critical thinking and detail
- Demonstrated ability to: be Self-motivated and flexible
- General knowledge of: Build to order manufacturing requirements
Preferred Education/ Experience:
- Machine shop manufacturing / purchasing a strong plus.
- Operations Degree or equivalent experience in a planning function.
- Background in manufacturing and/or operations required.
- Knowledge and experience in ERP systems a strong plus.
- Ability to see overall strategy and execute at the detail level
- Minimum of 5 years in manufacturing operations
