Primary Responsibilities
- Complete resource planning and master scheduling of the unit.
- Provide continual evaluation of the production plan vs actual, to assure the most effective use of resources and equipment.
- Provide day to day supervision of employee job execution, to include; training, performance evaluation and employee relations.
- Assess and report instances of capacity surplus and deficiency for an annual planning horizon
- Review and release work orders per the system demand, manage the system recommended messages, as well as maintain work order priorities to the metrics of the organization.
- Comply with all NOV Company, departmental and HSE procedures and policies.
- Must ensure that company policies and procedures are being always enforced and adhered.
Facility Responsibilities
- Review of JDA plan. Conduct shop scheduling and weekly release of resource plans
- Release 3 Month's COGS plan. Follow up with Inhouse and OSP for completion of WOs as per plan and reason out & escalate delays
- Discuss various scenarios with Plant manager and Operations team for level loading the capacity, like choosing which jobs to be moved out to OSP. Further direct the planner / OSP buyer for their decided actions in ERP on such jobs. Escalation of Capacity Shortages to Management for orders planned in span of 6 months to 1 year
- Direct inventory buyers on which buy parts to be expedited / planned for early receipts for filling in the pockets of low utilization and ensure delivery for critical project
- Compares the master production scheduling resource requirements to the capacity available in critical work centres. Feasibility to revise the master schedule to create feasible workloads or improve utilization of limited resources.
- Understanding time fences (on day basis for current/next week and thereafter for each week) and system messages coming from manufacturing production team against planned priorities.
- Identify make PLOs and release WOs
- Monitor work-in-process and status of work orders with estimated completion dates. Communicate Make Part Estimated Completion dates to Product Planners.
- Monitor Queues & escalate delays in queue management to Function owners
- Lead Assembly / Manufacturing Review meetings and Capacity Review Meeting
- Propose OSP diversion or pull in of jobs based on capacity overloads and underloads to Stakeholders (Purchase, OSP, Inhouse - through Resource Plan)
- Follow up for WIP in Queue with Stake Holders and WIP ageing reporting
- WO closing and JCV analysis
- Management of ECRs, and communication with Shop and warehouse
- Maintain and manage list of Orders that have risk to on time delivery.
- Timely and clear communication and follow through from issue identification to closure.
- Perform work such that a perpetual state of audit readiness is maintained.
- Participate in internal audits as required.

Education & Experience Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or MBA preferred with emphasis in business administration, project management or engineering
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Production Planning & Control function
- Excellent communications skills with all stakeholders, including the customer, sales, warehouse, transportation, order management, and purchasing teams
- Experience with using MRP systems, such as Oracle, including generating reports from ERP systems.
- Experience solving complex problems, has problem solving skills Proficient in use of Microsoft Office suite of products.
- English speaking and writing needs to at a proficient level.
- Needs to be able to work independently
- Strong time management and analytical skills.
Technical Competencies
- Experience with using MRP systems, such as Glovia or Oracle, including generating reports from ERP systems.
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office suite of products.
