The QA V&V Engineer II, within Honeywell Business Automation (BA), is responsible for verifying thequality of third-party product integrations into Honeywell Security and AccessSolutions access control product ecosystems to ensure the end-to-end solutionsare fully functional, free from defects and errors. Work with third parties todevelop and execute test plans and test cases supporting new productdevelopment and enhancements to partner products. Establish test environmentswithin the OAAP lab including configuring network infrastructure and keepingequipment and test systems up to date.
Identify Software Quality Assurancetesting tools and required equipment for both manual and automated testing.Test products for stability, usability, precision, accuracy, performance, loadand reliability with the integrated partner product. Demonstrate that allplanned functionality exists in the software, report all defects and documentthe results thoroughly.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The annual base salary range for this position is $78,100 - $97,600. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work directly with OAAP Partner developers and/or other product representative on the test design and specification of features being integrated into our ecosystem.
- Critically think about how customers will interact with the software being tested, execute test scenarios based on expected customer use to identify issues, listing action items, and opening avenues of discussion with Partners and Developers to drive issues to conclusion.
- Develop and execute thorough test plans in a timely and efficient manner for specific areas where partner products leverage our APIs.
- Write easy-to-understand test case steps and expected result descriptions.
- Manage diverse product and partner situations effectively.
- Interact with all related departments, QA, Development, Product Management, Documentation, Systems integration, Training, Technical Support, Sales, and Professional Services regarding quality issues and system problems.
- Investigate, initiate, and resolve corrective actions because of process or product non-conformances.
- Monitor program performance to prevent reoccurrence of program operating problems and ensure efficiency of operation.
- Identify and recommend quality improvement initiatives.
- Focus on quality output through accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail.
- Keep systems, networking and lab environment up to date including anti-virus, firewall and security patches.

YOU MUST HAVE
- Minimum Two-year college degree or equivalent.
- 2-3 year's software QA experience, Product Support experience, or equivalent.

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics

- Basic knowledge of JSON, XML, and their use in modern application programming interfaces.
- Experience testing software on Windows platforms, MS SQL Server, networking and domain environments.
- Basic knowledge in the use of applications such as test case & defect tracking software, remote connectivity software, virtual machines and the ability to learn other application software packages as necessary.
- A good understanding of all phases of the product testing cycle and software development lifecycle with strong process and quality orientation.
- Comfortable working with hardware devices, including basic wiring and hardware setup.
- Follow processes for coordinating onsite visitors.
- Comfortable hosting 3rd party representatives during lab testing.
- Ability to produce clear and comprehensive written procedures and reports.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, time management and multitasking skills, detail oriented with the ability to drive tasks to completion and on schedule.
- The ability to work cooperatively and effectively with cross-functional and remote teams as well as independently.
