Join one of the world's leading LNG producers at a pivotal moment in Qatar's energy transformation. As Mechanical Commissioning Lead, you'll spearhead mechanical start?up activities across both brownfield modifications and greenfield installations including new jackets, topsides, pipelines, risers, J?tubes, and extensive platform upgrades.
You'll work closely with top?tier EPC contractors, multi?discipline engineers, and operations teams to ensure everything from factory acceptance tests to offshore hook?up is delivered safely on time, and to the highest quality standards.
What You'll Do Quality & Compliance: Review mechanical deliverables, P&IDs, datasheets, and general arrangement drawings. Ensure all activities comply with contract specifications, international codes & standards, and QatarEnergy policies. Site Execution: Oversee onshore workshops, shop inspections, factory testing, and offshore hook?up & commissioning. Lead brownfield modifications including HVAC, piping, telecom, and mechanical systems while minimizing production shutdown impacts. Continuous Improvement: Capture and share lessons learned; assess contractor capabilities and implement technical or training support as needed. Tender Support: Assist in the preparation of EPC ITT packages and evaluate mechanical scope for future projects. What We're Looking For Technical Skills: Expert in reading & interpreting P&IDs, datasheets, GA drawings, and commissioning procedures. Proven track record in project execution, pre?commissioning, commissioning, and systems completion. Strong understanding of contract management, risk?based assessments, and quality control. Soft Skills: Excellent communicator, decisive problem?solver, and collaborative leader with cultural adaptability for onshore/offshore assignments.

What You'll Do
- Lead & Mentor: Provide technical guidance and day?to?day oversight for Mechanical Commissioning across multiple EPC contractors, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Plan & Coordinate:
- Develop and manage commissioning schedules, critical?path recovery plans, and shutdown window strategies.
- Interface with Systems Completion, Operations, HSEQ, and Facilities teams to align priorities and ensure readiness.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or Applied Sciences.
- Experience:
- Minimum 8 years in large?scale Oil & Gas commissioning (mechanical discipline).
- At least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role, coordinating multi?vendor teams.
- Hands?on experience with LNG equipment (compressors, power generation, topsides, control systems).
