We are working with our client based in Qatar to source a QC INSPECTOR (BLAST / PAINT) JACKET. This is residential contract to be based in Qatar.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
QC INSPECTOR (BLAST / PAINT) JACKET - QATAR

We are working with our client based in Qatar to source a QC INSPECTOR (BLAST / PAINT) JACKET. This is residential contract to be based in Qatar.
Qualification:
- Minimum high technical school or equivalent Painting certification from a recognized organization such as NACE, TWI etc. NACE LEVEL II OR BGAS-CSWIP GRADE II is a must.
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas Downstream Industry with an international consultancy company, Third Party inspection/certification Company, EPIC contractor or end user in major projects implementation is essential.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the quality requirements of the fabrication, construction and installation activities, as detailed in main contractor approved QC procedure and plans, are implemented in accordance with approved project documents
- Ensure that Contractor, Sub-Contractors and Vendors have the required competent resources, implant internationally acceptable practices and delivery of a product in compliance to Corporate and Project Quality requirements.
- Monitor all site and fabrication yard coating activities and ensure that all welding joints were coated as per approved standards.
- Carry out systematic inspection at each stage of surface preparation, painting/wrapping and repair works.
- Witness all contractors' painters and blasters qualifications carried out by paint manufacturer and evaluate their associated testing results.
- Verify the implementation of the proposed inspection system for all preparatory, painting and wrapping work via a series of Hold Points in the work schedule, from which the contractor shall not proceed until he is given formal clearance by the Engineer.
- Monitor the stage (in-process) inspection of offshore steel structure fabrications, and topside facilities at contractor fabrication premises and verify the product conformity to corporate standard, project specs, and international codes/standard.
- Report daily to QA/QC Engineer and advise him on the main contractor compliance to contract procedures and standards and any matters effecting quality
