We are looking for an experienced and motivated Lead Strategic Plan Specialist to join the Honeywell family and help take the company to the next level. As part of the Strategy team, you will be responsible for driving growth, conducting in-depth analyses of the market and competitive landscape, assessing our portfolios and roadmaps against finding, and determining gaps and recommendations on where to prioritize innovation. You will also support our 3-year business planning around the software business model and helping to identify acquisitions, partnerships, and other potential growth drivers. The ideal candidate for this role will have experience with market and competitive intelligence, understanding financial statements and earnings calls, leveraging tools (like Klue, Crayon, Alphasense), working with analyst firms and 3rd party vendors to gather customer needs and industry trends, and have a basic understanding of financial modeling. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to think strategically and creatively are a must - as well as being self-motivated. You should be comfortable with ambiguity and enjoy collaborate, fast-paced environments, have an eagerness to learn, and be passionate about professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct financial, market, and competitive analyses to support business decisions
• Create processes and standardization to ensure data-driven decision making and support the due diligence process
• Monitor and analyze industry trends to inform strategic decisions
• Prepare reports and presentations to update executives on strategic progress
• Track, analyze, and report on key performance metrics
• Perform competitive intelligence profiles for selected HCE competitors - covering financials, strategy, portfolio, partnerships etc. Develop implications and recommendations.
• Identify gaps in internal business operations and support the change management around mitigation
• Support the justification, identification, evaluation, and execution of mergers or acquisitions
• Work with Strategy Directors/ HCE Senior Leaders to identify, scope, and structure key strategic initiatives, develop data needs/ requirement and workplans
• Support as needed on strategic projects (e.g., strategic plan, operating plan, growth initiatives, M&A due diligence, etc.) with project and stakeholder management
• Manage and execute special projects as directed by senior leadership
YOU MUST HAVE
• 3+ years of market and competitive intelligence experience
• 2+ years of experience utilizing Microsoft excel for financial modeling
• 1+ years of experience preparing and presenting presentations at the executive level
• 2-3 years of experience creating content for senior and executive leadership.

• Bachelor's Degree/MBA preferred.
• Experience in industrial or software businesses
• Experience in a top-tier market research/ management consulting/ B2B environment
• Significant years exp in market and competitive analysis
• Communicate and frame complex issues in a concise manner.
• Lead, coordinate, & influence cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical skill (Excel, Access, finance principles), Ability to lead/drive change, and influence/mentor others.
• Financial acumen necessary.
