We are looking for an Horizontal Directional Drilling Electro Mechanic in Bilbao, Spain starting asap until end of 2025!

Function description

Your main tasks will be:

• Perform daily equipment checks and routine maintenance on HDD rigs and support machinery (pumps, generators, power packs).
• Refuel drilling rigs and auxiliary equipment, ensuring safety procedures are followed.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on-site.
• Assist in hydraulic repairs, changing filters, oil, and damaged components.
• Work closely with the site supervisor and drilling crew to minimize downtime.
• Keep logs of maintenance work performed and report any recurring issues.
• Ensure tools and spare parts are properly stored and organized on-site.

Requirements

For this job you need to have:

• At least 2-3 years of experience as an Electro Mechanic in the HDD sector.
• Solid knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and basic electrical troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with HDD machines (e.g., Herrenknecht, Vermeer, Ditch Witch, HK250/400) is a strong advantage.
• Proof of registered company (freelancing) and willing to obtain and A1 Certificate.
• Language: English required (basic communication); additional languages are a plus.
• Right to work in Spain (mandatory)

¡Estamos buscando un Electro Mecánico especializado en Perforación Horizontal Dirigida (HDD) para trabajar en Bilbao, España, con incorporación inmediata hasta finales de 2025!

Función descriptiva

Tus principales tareas serán:

• Realizar inspecciones diarias y mantenimiento rutinario en equipos HDD y maquinaria de apoyo (bombas, generadores, unidades de potencia).
• Repostar los equipos de perforación y auxiliares, asegurando el cumplimiento de los procedimientos de seguridad.
• Diagnosticar y resolver problemas eléctricos y mecánicos en el sitio.
• Asistir en reparaciones hidráulicas, cambio de filtros, aceite y componentes dañados.
• Colaborar estrechamente con el supervisor de obra y el equipo de perforación para minimizar tiempos de inactividad.
• Mantener registros del mantenimiento realizado e informar sobre problemas recurrentes.
• Asegurar que las herramientas y repuestos estén correctamente almacenados y organizados en el sitio.

Requisitos

Para este puesto necesitas:

• Al menos 2-3 años de experiencia como Electro Mecánico en el sector HDD.
• Sólidos conocimientos en sistemas mecánicos, hidráulica y resolución básica de problemas eléctricos.
• Familiaridad con máquinas HDD (por ejemplo, Herrenknecht, Vermeer, Ditch Witch, HK250/400) es una gran ventaja.
• Compañía registrada (freelance) y disposición para obtener el Certificado A1.
• Idioma: Inglés requerido (comunicación básica); otros idiomas son una ventaja.
• Derecho a trabajar en España (obligatorio).
