Vestas Global Procurement is responsible for all procurement activities within Vestas, including leading cross functional category teams, negotiations and contract management, development of end-to-end cost out initiatives, category strategy development and supplier relationship management.
As Senior Manager for the Tower Manufacturing Procurement team, you will play a crucial role in shaping our tower supply chain globally, enabling us to deliver reliable, cost-efficient, and sustainable solutions to our customers. This position will be part of the Towers & Steel department. This team, with members spread across all continents, is commercially responsible for Vestas global network of external tower manufacturing plants and the related procurement of all raw materials required for these.

Responsibilities
You will join a high-profiled position where you will lead business and people. Your everyday activities will be characterized by a fast-paced environment and requirement to engage in, plan and prioritize between multiple critical projects. Overall expected deliverables include, among others:

• Lead and develop the team members (both direct and indirect reports) fostering a clear vision and an effective matrix organization to meet current and future business needs in all regions
• Deliver through your team agreed savings and value-add targets and provide essential inputs into Vestas' processes and key projects (e.g., budgeting, cost tracking, new product introduction, modularization, outsourcing)
• Collaborate with key stakeholders (ex: R&D, SQD, Supply Chain, Regions, etc.) to align and implement commodity strategies for Tower Manufacturing, guiding your team in execution
• Ensure the team secures the lowest total cost of ownership with an end-to-end value chain perspective, utilizing advanced sourcing techniques and adhering to corporate standards
• Act as an ambassador of cross-functional collaboration, building a broad network within Vestas, including close engagement in the Tower module (R&D) and with support functions
• Build and leverage supply market intelligence to inform and advice the team and management on important trends in the tower market, exploiting these for Vestas' benefit
• Identify and implement on new business opportunities across the value chain

Qualifications / Competencies

• Proven experience in managing and leading global teams within a matrix organization
• Strong communication and interaction skills across organizational and cultural boundaries, both internally and externally, and at all management levels
• Result-oriented and Process-driven mindset with the capability to perform effectively in a dynamic environment
• Ability to work through others and influence colleagues and stakeholders with a high degree of commitment, storytelling, and execution power
• Demonstrated commitment, maturity, flexibility, and responsiveness to business needs and challenges
• Efficient negotiation skills with proven commercial acumen, performing well in time-sensitive situations
• Never compromise on integrity and ethics
• Travel requirements: approximately 30-40 days per year
