Roles and Responsibilities:

POSITION SUMMARY:

As an NDT Inspector at GE Aerospace, you will be responsible for performing specific tests as well as calibrations according to written instructions.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

The qualified associate who assumes these responsibilities should possess:

• Knowledge of applied mathematics

• Knowledge of blueprints/schematic reading
• Working knowledge of precision measuring equipment
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to perform precise and detailed work.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others.
• Strong knowledge of safety practices

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs specific inspections to written instructions.
• Interpret specifications, evaluate parts, and test results.
• Perform process control checks and calibrations to written instructions.
• Maintain a 6S work environment.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 6 months-1 year of NDT (Preferred)
• Manufacturing background
• Certified in NDT methods

The qualified associate who assumes these responsibilities will be expected to:

• Understand how to identify and effectively use a variety of power and hand tools
• Read, understand and utilize procedures, detailed computerized build plans, and basic mathematical calculations
• Ability to perform precise and detailed work
• Communicate effectively and professionally with others, both written and verbal within the team
• Follow and promote safe work practices
