Vandalia is also home to a product development lab where operators and engineers work together to invent the future of flight.
As a Production Quality Manufacturing Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of quality in our manufacturing processes. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement, maintain compliance with industry standards, and support the production of world-class aerospace components and systems. At GE Aerospace, safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC) are at the core of everything we do, with safety being the highest priority.

Job Description
Role & Responsibilities
- Monitor and evaluate manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with GE Aerospace quality standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
- Investigate and resolve quality issues using root cause analysis tools.
- Apply lean manufacturing principles to identify opportunities for process optimization and waste reduction.
- Collaborate with teams to implement corrective actions and preventive measures.
- Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
- Ensure all documentation complies with industry standards and internal policies.
- Work closely with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless integration of quality processes throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.
- Track and report key quality metrics, including defect rates, process capability, and customer satisfaction.
- Use data to drive decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management, or a related field from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a manufacturing role)
Additional Information
- This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government contract restrictions and this posting is only for U.S. Citizens. GE will require proof of status.
- Ability to sit onsite at the Vandalia, OH facility 5 days per week
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or Quality Management (e.g., CQE, CQA)
- IPC CIS and/or CIT experience
- Familiarity with aerospace materials, processes, and standards
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or quality assurance role, preferably in the aerospace industry
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) and regulatory requirements
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and tools
- Proficiency in quality analysis tools and software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
