Role Overview

The Senior Manufacturing Staff Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing manufacturing operations to ensure the delivery of high-quality products on time and within budget. This role involves strategic planning, process improvement, team leadership, and collaboration across departments to achieve operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing operations, Lean (FLIGHT DECK) methodologies, and leadership.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage day-to-day manufacturing operations to meet production schedules, quality standards, and cost targets.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC).
  • Implement Lean (FLIGHT DECK) principles, including Kaizen, Standard Work, and Hoshin Kanri, to drive process improvements and eliminate waste.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Manage and develop a team of manufacturing professionals, providing coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback.
  • Promote a safe and inclusive work environment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align manufacturing strategies with business objectives.
  • Develop and execute plans to optimize capacity, efficiency, and resource utilization.
  • Analyze operational challenges and implement effective solutions to improve productivity and reduce downtime.
  • Utilize data-driven decision-making to address issues and drive results.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
  • Partner with Quality teams to maintain high product standards and resolve quality issues.


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 9 years of experience in manufacturing/production)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience leading people in a manufacturing/production environment


Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Aerospace manufacturing or other highly regulated industries.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and tools, ideally FLIGHT DECK.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and drive operational improvements.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in manufacturing software and data analysis tools.
