We are looking for Production Petrophysicist to join our team in Baku, Azerbaijan!
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with bp and supplier personnel, to ensure operations are efficiently co-ordinated, and are performed in a safe, environmentally acceptable, and efficient manner.
Please note that the role is open for citizens of Azerbaijan only.
What you will be doing
Support Subsurface organization on surveillance data acquisition planning, acquisition and interpretation. Ensure efficient data acquisition plans are prepared in a timely manner and consistent with well objectives in terms of delivery and overall contribution to the field wide data acquisition requirements.
Plan and select appropriate sensors for the data acquisition process. These sensors include PLT, Saturation measurements, tubing and casing integrity measurements, leak diagnostics.
Perform Interpretation of cased hole log data for identification of the fluid movement into and out of well bores particularly the identification of both rate and phase.
Ensure post-acquisition analysis, data interpretation and communication of interpretation results is performed within a timeframe agreed at planning stage with data customer.
Use job associated Interpretation software for analysis (PLATO for PLT and MIPS for multi-finger calipers) at an expert level and provide coaching to other community members.
Support other disciplines with key petrophysical inputs for well completion recommendation and well decisions, maintain applicable database
Participate in root cause analysis of data acquisition non-productive time events and ensure lessons are captured and communicated for effective continuous improvement
Contribute to the Supplier performance management process and assessment of key performance indicators
Stay updated on the current development in the Cased hole measurements advancements. Liaise with vendors on the new technologies, organize region technology sharing sessions. Act as the focal point for interaction with BP global SMEs and between BP and the vendor community.
Ensure progressive self-development and learning. Actively seek opportunities to expand your knowledge and skills portfolio. Work with senior peers, Squad Leads and Discipline Leads to progress your development with accelerated pace.
Take an active part in progressing regional petrophysical studies. Be responsible for performing specific tasks within regional studies work frame to address pressing reservoir description uncertainties and/or answer specific operational requirements.

Does this sound like you?

- Minimum 5 years of experience in industry
- Experience in performing integrated surveillance analysis
- Be able to quickly learn interpretational methodologies for cased hole information and how this can be integrated with other data forms
Desirable criteria & qualifications:
- Onshore/Offshore field experience and desire to witness critical operations at the well-site
- Knowledge of tool physics and the mechanics of the data acquisition process
- Knowledge in logs acquisition & interpretation.
