Job Description Summary

The Rotating Parts and Compressor Airfoils (RPCA) FP&A Leader is a hands-on role focused on managing financial planning, analysis, and reporting for the RPCA Part Family. This position supports the RPCA CFO by providing accurate financial data and enabling informed decision-making. The FP&A Leader works closely with 8 RPCA shops worldwide to standardize and streamline processes using GE Aerospace's FLIGHT DECK operating model. Key responsibilities include managing monthly and quarterly close activities, forecasting, and ensuring first-time yield on Investment Review Board and Capital Council processes. This role requires in-depth understanding of key business drivers and efficient financial processes, strong attention to detail and the ability to execute financial tasks efficiently while supporting operational performance goals.

In addition to core FP&A responsibilities, this role supports tactical execution of special projects such as Make vs. Buy analysIs, ERP implementation efforts, and integration of the newest shop in Hermosillo, Mexico. The FP&A Leader will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of these initiatives to drive measurable results. Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Part Family Financial Leadership

Deliver accurate and complete consolidated RPCA financials including variance analysis and driving process automation to enhance transparency and streamline reporting.

Strategic Planning and Reporting

Lead planning, forecasting, and pacing efforts for RPCA HQ, utilizing data-driven approaches to articulate material variances, risks, and opportunities. Support the RPCA CFO in preparing presentations and materials for key reviews, including MORs, WORs, leadership financial reviews, budget, strategy, and cost review meetings.

Execution of Monthly Closing and Reporting

Ensure timely and accurate monthly closing and reporting processes for all shops by facilitating, supporting, and overseeing all communication between the central FP&A teams and the shops. Consolidate RPCA financials, including close responsibilities for RPCA HQ.

Maintain High Standards of Controllership, Compliance, and Rigor

Partner with controllership, FP&A, product lines, and engineering teams to ensure consistent and effective financial practices.

Collaborate with Part Family Cost Leader

Work closely with the Cost Leader to drive continuous improvement at sites, review cost forecasts and support actions to close gaps.

Effectively Communicate Key Dynamics

Provide clear and concise communication of Part Family financial dynamics to cross-divisional internal stakeholders.

Support and Attend Monthly Operating Reviews (MORs) Weekly Operating Reviews (WORs)

Own the consolidation, analysis, and reporting of the financial data for RPCA's MORs and WORs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities.

Special Projects and Strategic Initiatives

Collaborate across shops to support special projects including developing business cases, conducting due diligence for business development, integrating new sites and ERPs, and spearheading IM-level cross-functional initiatives.

Continuous Improvement Through FLIGHT DECK

Apply FLIGHT DECK methodologies to drive continuous improvement across all financial processes within RPCA, fostering a lean and efficient operating model.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting from an accredited university
  • 2+ years of experience in finance or accounting
