This Position reports to:
Production Engineering Manager

Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory)

In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain vocational experience through a temporary work placement. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB's operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities.

The work model for the role is: Onsite

This role is contributing to the Electrification Division in Americas.
You will be mainly accountable for:

• Update process documentation to ensure alignment with current production standards.
• Maintain and control production logbooks and records.
• Support the implementation of manufacturing changes on the production floor.
• Follow up on continuous improvement projects and initiatives.
• Assist in the preparation of efficiency and performance reports.

Qualifications for the role (Mandatory)

• You have knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles, and you are comfortable using CAD tools such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD to support production-related tasks.
• You are eager to learn about sheet metal manufacturing processes, production line optimization, and to take part in continuous improvement initiatives within the electrical equipment and switchboard assembly industry.
• You have academic experience, school projects, or previous internships related to manufacturing processes, process standardization, or production support.
• You are interested in developing your skills with Lean tools. You are passionate about problem-solving, enjoy working in cross-functional teams, and are motivated to contribute to the optimization of production processes and equipment efficiency on the shop floor.
• You are currently studying a degree in Materials, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, with a strong interest in manufacturing engineering and industrial operations.
• You are fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
