JOB SUMMARY:

Brewers Distributing Company provides full-service mechanical repairs and maintenance on employee vehicles, public cars, and commercial trucks/trailers, including CDL Class A equipment. We are looking for a skilled and dependable Gas Mechanic to join our team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Diagnose, repair, and maintain gasoline-powered cars, light-duty vehicles
2. Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake services, tune-ups, tire services, and fluid checks.
3. Inspect and troubleshoot engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, electrical systems, and fuel systems.
4. Use diagnostic equipment, tools, and manuals to identify mechanical and electronic issues.
5. Maintain accurate service records and document all repairs and maintenance.
6. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
7. Provide excellent customer service when working with employees and the public.
8. Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery.
9. Operating a steam/pressure washer to wash vehicles.
10. General building and property mechanical maintenance as needed.
11. Errand runner as needed.
12. Must be able to work in inclement weather as needed.
13. Ensure compliance and accurate records with OSHA, DOT and company-mandated safety policies.
14. Must adhere to 4B Services safety standards at all times (i.e. PPE).
15. Maintain and monitor warranty repairs.
16. Maintain a clean work area to meet 4B Services' standards.
17. Conduct road service calls to make repairs in the field.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBLITIES:

1. On-Call for service jobs as needed
2. Assumes other duties as assigned by supervisor or Senior Management.
3. Backup to Maintenance Assistant as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High school diploma or equivalent (technical/vocational training preferred).
2. Valid driver's license with clear Motor Vehicle Report.
3. Valid driver's license (CDL a plus, but not required).
4. Ability to pass a criminal background check, DOT drug screen and physical.
5. 2+ years of gas engine maintenance, mechanical, and welding experience preferred.
6. Strong knowledge of gasoline engines, vehicle systems, and mechanical troubleshooting.
7. Manufacturing training and/or factory training.
8. General hand tool knowledge.
9. Ability to perform physical duties of the job. This includes ability to lift 22-50 lbs. frequently; 162 lbs. occasionally.
10. Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
11. Willingness to learn and follow directions. Ability to work independently.
12. Dependable, flexible and a self starter with an excellent attitude.
13. Ability to operate a forklift.
14. Excellent ability to follow verbal or written instructions.
15. High energy level with ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships.
