Roles and Responsibilities
- Executes production according to the appropriate instructions.
- Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the area.
- Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
- Collaborates with others to solve issues.
- Makes operational decisions with minimal oversite where team skillset allows but can pivot and call or defer for first shift support as necessary.
- Leads and communicates with assigned team to meet business objectives.
- Drive a culture of safety, quality, and integrity to meet customer expectations.
- Coordinates daily Tier 5 Team Meetings and shift changes.
- Work closely with maintenance to ensure machines stay safely operational and PMs are performed as required.
- Own training matrix and ensure operators are cross trained. Drive flexible workforce.
- Collaborate with teams to minimize cycle.
- Ensure operators have necessary tooling and process sheets to meet safety, quality, and productivity standards.
- Uses basic understanding of machine operation and safety to make sound decisions to insure employees are safe and quality expectations are met. Confidence to shut down process to correct issues and ability to identify needed resources to resume production.
- Maintain team training matrix and drive cross training and flexibility.
- Ensure facility and equipment are secured/shut down as required at shift end.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years manufacturing experience)
