Launch innovations in nearly every commercial and defense aircraft platform

As an Advanced EMC Design Engnineer you will be developing new EMC designs or modifying already existing designs. Part of you day-to-day activities will be performing functional analysis and simulation of the design from Electromagnetic Compatibility point of view.

This is a hybrid role, 3 days in office, 2 from home.

Since the invention of autopilot in 1914, we've been a leader in innovation for the Air Travel industry. Today, thousands of Honeywell products are used in aircraft and airports around the world. Everyday 140,000 Honeywell air turbine starters bring to life commercial and military aircraft, industrial and marine equipment.

Key responsibilities
  • Design and Modification: Develop new ЕМС designs or modify existing ones.
  • Functional Analysis and Simulation: Perform functional analysis and simulation of designs from an EMC perspective.
  • Collaboration and Leadership: Actively participate in design reviews, support digital and analog design, and take on project leadership roles.
  • Lifecycle and Reuse: Apply your expertise across all phases of hardware development and adapt to varying job assignments.
  • Qualification and Customer Interaction: Generate EMC Control Plans, review and approve EMC Qualification Test Procedures and Reports, and interface with customers regarding EMC matters.

Key skills and qualifications
  • Education and Background: College graduate with a minimum of an Associates Degree in Electrical Design and at least 5 years of experience in EMC and/or analog design.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in EMC design, excellent knowledge of DO-254, familiarity with Mentor Graphics tools, and understanding of engineering documentation.
  • Soft Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills, ability to conduct technical presentations to customers, organizational and analytical abilities, and problem-solving skills.
  • Domain Knowledge: Knowledge of EMC standards such as MIL-STD-461 and DO-160G, and understanding of aerospace design.
  • Personal Attributes: Reliability, trustworthiness, adherence to the highest ethical standards, self-starter who takes initiative, customer-oriented attitude, and willingness to travel for training and meetings.
