C-level / Executive- To Lead / support and carry out equipment mobilization inspection for all Construction equipment and lifting equipment, related functions for Project.
- Support on boarding of Contractor(s)/ Subcontractor(s) and ensure compliance to Project requirements.
- The Mechanized Equipment Inspector will be responsible for the establishment of the Construction Equipment Inspection program, including Audits during Phases.
- The Inspector will further perform ad-hoc inspections daily across all work-fronts as well as 3rd party inspections.
- Responsible for the development, review and implementation of the Construction Equipment Inspection and Audit program in line with Project requirements.
- Responsible for field-based activities including daily, regular, and quarterly inspections and audits to ensure compliance to requirements.
- Liaises with multiple interfaces (Onshore Construction, PMT, Contractor, OpCo and RLC) to support Construction Equipment mobilization, inspection, and demobilization.
- Responsible for direct oversight 3rd party inspections including verification of inspection quality.
- Carry out inspection and audits on workshops at site, including off-site workshops where possible pre-mobilization inspections are carried out.
- Support the mitigation of spills from Construction Equipment, including the movement of soil material in disposal areas.
- Ensure that Contractor/Subcontractor policies and procedures for Construction Equipment Inspection comply with reference framework
- Ensure that Contractor/Subcontractor Lifting Equipment Inspection comply with reference standard or OEM recommendation.
- Ensure that mobilization of Contractor for performed safely, and initial phases of Project is executed in line with Company expectations, including pre-inspection of Construction Equipment at Contractor facilities.
- Support the implementation of the Equipment Inspection program including the direct oversight of Contractor & 3rd party inspections with collaboration from Lifting Superintendent.
- Ensure the IVMS systems are installed, functional and operational in line with manufacturer requirements, in support of the SHES group.
- Provide direct oversight on the implementation of a workshop inspection program, including possible off-site workshops.
- Minimum 10 years as an Inspector (Lifting Equipment, Heavy Equipment/vehicles and Electrical machinery).
- Recognized equipment and inspections certification, including repair work on all motorized construction equipment/vehicles.
- Multilingual in languages e.g. Hindi, Arabic, Malayalam is a plus.
- Minimum ten (10) years' experience in the relevant equipment inspection field.
- Experience in major Construction Projects (including brown-field work) with total capital expenditure >USD$1B
- Middle East region experience preferred, with recent experience (last 5 years) on LNG Projects and working in Ras Laffan Industrial City
- Setting up and management of Construction Equipment Inspection programs as well as good knowledge of all motorized equipment will be an added advantage
- Heavy Equipment Inspector/Electrical relevant experience.
- Inspection and testing of various Lifting Equipment such as Mobile Cranes, Forklift, Telehandler, Manlifts, Scissor lifts, EOT Cranes, Chain hoists, Lever hoists, Monorail Beams, Lorry Loader Cranes, Life Saving Boat Davit etc. as per OEM and international standards.
- Good knowledge on the SLI (safe load indicator) calibration and verification procedure.
- Relevant experience in this context refers to inspection and/or maintenance of, cranes, vehicles, trucks, all motorized equipment.
- Knowledge of Industry standards, specifications & requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to review and comment on technical documents
