Main function of the job: -

  Responsible for preparing programs and procedures for fluids and cements, supervise in a daily basis mud and cement operations and as well as ensuring the properties of the drilling fluids and cement are within designed specifications.

 Duties and Responsibilities: -

• Coordinate all tasks related to fluid, cement operations and engineering within the scope of the development program of offshore and on shore operations.
  • Supervisor on a daily basis mud and cement operations, validate the daily mud and cement reports. Write and issue all required standards technical reports related to mud and cement for the final well report.
  • Prepare programs and procedures (SDI) for fluids (including completion fluids) and cements.
  • Ensures a proper treatment of discharge produced by drilling and well operations, ensures all products used are environmentally friendly and follow-up the modifications on rig equipment related to fluid and cement.
  • Carry out the studies related to mud and cement operations, perform various studies related to the development technical synthesis and performance improvement.
• Provide technical solutions when unexpected operational difficulties arise, make sure they are efficient and practical when it comes to implementation on the field.
• Anticipate needs (including LLI), ensure the availability of all materials and products on rig site including needs for emergency situations.
  • Optimize the activities of Providers and assess their performance and follow-up all quality control tests requested from contractors or from international Lab.
  • Prepare tender documents and the bidder list for fluids and cement as well as review and make sure services payment comply with contractual terms and conditions.
  • Provide input to budget preparation, prepare rig site fluids and cement cost control price book and follow-up incurred costs.
  • Make sure that all engineering studies to fluids and cement are conducted correctly.
  • Ensure that fluids and cement Supervisor and relevant services companies work in close cooperation with drilling Supervisor at site.
  • Contribute to the efficiency of fluids operations by optimization the costs and lead time through continuous improvement of equipment services and procedures.

        Qualification & Experience: -

• Education: - B.Sc. Petroleum, Chemical or Mechanical engineering.
• Experience: - Minimum 10 years in mud, fluids and cement products, simulation products and techniques plus specialized softwares and API rules.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation, organizational and technical analytical skills.
• Computer skills MS office
