POSITION SUMMARY:
This dynamic Gulf of Mexico production analyst role is part of a team responsible for providing production volumes for operated and non-operated oil, gas, NGL products. With the continued growth in Gulf of Mexico this brings operational, contractual, and system changes which necessitates taking the initiative with a proactive approach to the monthly close process and analysis.
This position is responsible for accounting for the daily and monthly production volumes for Gulf of Mexico Production Accounting. Strong collaboration and communication skills are required to interface with Revenue Accounting, Royalty Compliance, Land, Marketing & Commercial, Finance Support, Legal, and Internal and External Auditors.
High standards of excellence and attention to detail are required for delivering accurate financial results and "Lean" thinking (a process improvement mentality) are requirements for this role.

ROLES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Set up and maintenance of PRA master file data for wells, meters & facility/delivery networks
  • Create and distribute the Gulf of Mexico Property Status Change forms (Notices of First Production)
  • Review Daily Production Reports and monitor for changes, significant downtime, and new activity
  • Review Daily Gulf of Mexico volumes/transactional records in SAP against source to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Work with Third Party Allocators and Operations to ensure accuracy of platform and well data
  • Analyze and reconcile daily/monthly actuals and estimate volumes for oil/gas/water, troubleshooting discrepancies
  • Perform monthly oil, gas, and water well allocations in SAP PRA for Deepwater Operated Gulf of Mexico assets
  • Input monthly well level volumes for Deepwater outside operated assets
  • Prepare monthly Retrograde Allocations for regulatory/revenue reporting purposes
  • Monitor WellView drilling reports for SKF rig activity
  • Close interaction with Operations and field personnel to facilitate production accounting processes
  • Prepare SOX and external audit schedules as needed
  • Preparation and submission of regulatory filings related to production data
  • Liaise with ONRR & BSEE on Federal production reporting
  • Reporting
    • Monthly ONRR OGOR's (MMS Form 4054)
    • Monthly Partner Reports
    • BSEE Monthly Liquid and Gas Verification Statement Submittals
    • BSEE Semi-Annual Well Test Reports (MMS Form 128)
    • Annual Gulf of Mexico Well Count Report (10K Reporting)
    • Ad-Hoc support to various operational, reserves and commercial requests
  • Assistance with internal and external audit requests
  • Participation in projects related to Production Accounting including system upgrades and testing


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of 5 years of Oil and Gas Production Accounting Reporting is required
  • Solid understanding of production accounting, including allocation methods and reconciliations
  • Motivated self-starter with strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work in time-sensitive environment, multitask and prioritize to meet deadlines
  • Knowledgeable in:
    • ONRR Rules and Regulations
    • Federal Reporting Tools/Systems
    • Oil & Gas production operations is a plus

Education, Training & Certifications
  • Accounting, Business, or related Bachelor's degree is required. Other degrees or industry related experience will be considered in lieu of an accounting degree
  • Experience with SAP Production and Revenue Accounting (PRA) module is preferred.
  • Proficient user of Excel
