RESPONSIBILITIES
Key responsibilities:
- Assist the Commissioning Manager in planning, development, and reporting
- Develop detailed commissioning and start-up procedures for assigned systems
- Provide daily, on-site/in-field leadership, coordination, and management of a multi-discipline team of mechanical commissioning supervisors and technicians
- Interact with Engineering and Operations teams to develop procedures
- Ensure preparation and approval of job cards for Pre-Commissioning/Commissioning activities
- Liaise with Construction/Mechanical Completion groups daily
- Supervise the Mechanical Commissioning Team to meet scheduled deadlines and ensure the technical integrity of work
- Control job card allocation and completion
- Assist Construction with inspection and Punch Lists of installation and vendor packages
- Accept mechanically complete sub-systems packages
- Manage the completion of walk-downs and Punch Lists of offered system/sub-systems
- Manage instrumentation/automation vendor support during the commissioning phase
- Verify Pre-Commissioning certification
- Update and forward the Punch List per system to the CMS/Database Operator
- Address Mechanical Commissioning issues and resolve schedule conflicts
- Ensure all documentation, tools, consumables, and equipment are available
- Ensure work is carried out safely and in accordance with site procedures and PTW system
- Coordinate Certifying Authority witnessing on-site
- Coordinate functional testing of commissioned systems and engage the Operations Team as needed
- Provide Operations with technical support throughout start-up, stabilization, and performance testing
- Provide Turnover Coordinator with the required handover documentation
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and written
- Coordinate activities with other departments and staff
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with direct supervision and other departments
QUALIFICATIONS

Expected:
- Experience with commissioning and start-up of process and utility systems
- Fluent and expert in reading and interpreting P&ID's, Piping Isometrics, and Production Flow Diagrams
- Knowledge of millwright, piping, and workshop practices
- Experience with gas compression and rotating equipment
- Understanding of process flow equipment, gas and oil pipeline systems
- Knowledge of operations and maintenance of production facilities
- Experience with leak testing (HeN) and lube oil flushing, chemical flushing of production systems
- Report writing and records maintenance skills
- Familiarity with Permit to Work System
- Project management skills including cost, time, and scope management
- Awareness of occupational hazards, standard safety procedures, and safe work practices
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in onshore Oil & Gas Completion and Commissioning activities in a Lead Technician or Engineer's role
- Proven supervisory experience in a Commissioning role for mechanical, piping, or rotating equipment
- Proficient written and oral English language communication skills
