Title: Generator Mechanic
Location: Davison, MI

Mersino is an established, but growing competitor in the construction dewatering and pumping industry. Founded in 1988, we pursue those projects requiring a high level of expertise and professionalism, throughout the country. Mersino is seeking a high-energy, self-motivated, individual to join our growing team as a skilled Generator Mechanic to join our team. The Generator Mechanic will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of generator systems and related equipment. This role requires in-depth knowledge of diesel and gas-powered generator systems and a commitment to ensuring reliable power supply for our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel and gas-powered generator systems.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in generator systems.
• Install, test, and commission new generators and related equipment.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity of generators.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues with generators, including fuel systems, cooling systems, and electrical components.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, including service reports and inventory of parts and supplies.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with other maintenance staff to address broader facility maintenance needs.
• Stay updated on the latest technologies and best practices in generator maintenance and repair.
• Respond to emergency repair requests promptly and efficiently.
• Provide training and guidance to junior technicians as needed.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Generator Mechanic or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of diesel and gas-powered generator systems, including engines, fuel systems, cooling systems, and electrical components.
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and blueprints.
• Good physical condition and ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces and outdoors.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in generator maintenance is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to different job sites as needed.
