Duties: Performs high level of manual tasks involved in the maintenance and construction of sanitary sewer lines and sewage plants. Excavates soil and makes sanitary sewer repairs and connections with various hand tools. Repairs, cleans, and performs maintenance work on sanitary sewer lines. Assembles and disassembles barricades and shoring equipment. Must have the ability to work with co-workers as a team as instructed. May be subject to call out service after hours. Shift work may be required. Must have and maintain, without interruption, all necessary licenses, certifications, clearances, and/or job requirements. Work the assigned schedule and comply with City timekeeping and attendance policy. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Valid Texas driver's license and good driving record. Position may require moderate to heavy lifting and carrying; kneeling, crouching and bending; pushing, pulling and reaching; and standing for prolonged periods of time.

    • From 21 to less than 26 years of service - five weeks of vacation per year.
    • From 26 years of service and up - six weeks of vacation per year.
