We are looking for an Engineer or Senior Engineer with a background in mechanical engineering to join our Renewables Engineering team in Aibel Haugesund. In this role, you will work with multidisciplinary teams on mechanical engineering for large-scale offshore wind projects, including taking responsibility for mechanical equipment procurement packages. As part of Aibel's team, you will act as the Package Responsible Engineer (PRE) for mechanical procurement packages, ensuring that project requirements are met. You will be involved in the selection of mechanical equipment, follow-up with suppliers, and participate in testing activities, with opportunities for hands-on involvement in the entire project lifecycle.

Responsibilities and tasks include
- Collaborate with teams to manage procurement of mechanical equipment packages
- Participate in mechanical equipment studies, design, selection, and assessments
- Prepare and issue equipment specifications and datasheets for procurement
- Work closely with suppliers and other technical disciplines to ensure project success
- Perform technical evaluations of supplier quotations and follow-up on equipment installation and testing
- Review and approve supplier documentation and respond to technical queries
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards for the supplier's scope of work
Qualifications
- Master`s og bachelor`s degree in mechanical engineering
- Experience as a mechanical package responsible engineer is an advantage, but recent graduates are encouraged to apply
- Familiarity with DNV and international standards; knowledge of Norwegian technical standards is beneficial
Personal qualities
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Positive, cooperative mindset with a desire to learn and share knowledge
- Ability to work independently with attention to detail, while also contributing to team efforts
- Commitment to meeting deadlines and ensuring high-quality work
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal; knowledge of Norwegian is a plus
