We are looking for an experienced and proactive Work Planner Offshore to join our team and support the success of our offshore activities in the North Sea. In this role, you'll be the central figure in planning and coordinating maintenance and project operations, working closely with both internal teams and external contractors to ensure the smooth and efficient running of our offshore campaigns.

We currently operate 5 AC700MW Offshore High Voltage Substations and are expanding towards two more high-performance assets designed to support the next generation of offshore wind turbines. As our Work Planner Offshore, you will play a vital role in planning high-quality maintenance and project activities from offshore vessels, directly contributing to our operational success.

What will you do?

  1. Maintenance & Work Planning:

    • Develop and manage detailed offshore execution plans, ensuring they align with departmental goals.
    • Work with other planners to ensure efficient resource allocation across different projects.
    • Set up and maintain master schedules, offshore schedules, and work plans that are both realistic and flexible.
  2. Stakeholder Collaboration:

    • Coordinate offshore and onshore trip preparations, ensuring effective communication with internal teams and external stakeholders.
    • Oversee material and contractor procurement, managing vendor relationships through SAP.
    • Plan and allocate personnel, tools, and transportation for maintenance tasks, ensuring the right resources are available when needed.
  3. Efficient Use of Vessel Time:

    • Take the lead in ensuring the efficient and effective use of vessel time by coordinating offshore operations with engineering and project teams.
    • Monitor progress, adjust plans when necessary (e.g., due to weather changes), and provide updates to key stakeholders.
    • Advise the Grid Connection Core Team on any potential exceptions or issues that may require immediate action or prioritization.
  4. Continuous Improvement:

    • Drive or support the development of improved planning tools and systems, such as rotation plans or progress tracking systems.
    • Set up monitoring and forecasting systems to enhance the visibility of project progress.
    • Continuously refine activity standards and norms to ensure high performance and efficiency.

Your profile and background

Your qualifications:

  • A Higher Technical School (HTS/BSc.) level is preferred, with a solid foundation in planning or a comparable role.
  • Proven experience in a planning function, showcasing your ability to manage complex tasks effectively.
  • A passion for automation and digital solutions, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with PowerBI is a plus, and any experience in writing scripts or macros will set you apart.
  • Experience with planning software such as Primavera P6 or SAP MRS is highly valued.
  • You thrive in a team-oriented environment and are known for your attention to detail, flexibility, and proactive mindset.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on active listening and collaboration.
  • An analytical approach combined with technical affinity allows you to tackle challenges head-on.
  • You are driven to push projects forward, taking ownership and initiative in your work.
  • Fluency in English is essential, while Dutch language skills are advantageous.
  • A genuine eagerness to learn and grow within your role, contributing to the professionalization of the Planning Department.
  • Experience in offshore, heavy industry, or TSO organizations will give you an edge.

Grid Field Operations is executing Field Operations, Maintenance and (Baseload) Projects. We ensure the integrity and safety of our assets entrusted to us, while also ensuring their maximum availability. We make sure that the onshore grids of TenneT is reliable in Germany and the Netherlands.
