Senior Quality Systems Officer – Centre of Excellence

Location: Doha, Qatar

About the Role

A leading energy company is seeking a Senior Quality Systems Officer to play a key role in implementing and maintaining Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) management systems. The role ensures compliance with international standards and regulatory requirements, supporting continuous improvement initiatives within a complex, multi-cultural, and multi-venture environment.

Key Responsibilities

Quality & Compliance

• Oversee ISO internal audits and external certification processes to ensure valid certifications are maintained.
• Coordinate continuous improvement initiatives to enhance organisational effectiveness in HSEQ management systems.
• Support projects related to HSEQ management systems and best practice implementation.
• Prepare reports on HSEQ system performance for management review.

Audit & Assurance

• Coordinate audit exercises, including reporting, categorising findings, and evaluating corrective and preventive actions.
• Support the annual HSEQ assessment and ISO audit program, ensuring timely reporting on progress and findings.
• Participate in HSEQ management system review meetings, contributing insights on continuous improvement, system performance, and verification progress.

Operational Excellence

• Conduct shutdown quality gate reviews, Permit to Work (PTW) audits, and shutdown quality assurance programs to ensure seamless execution.
• Ensure compliance with company directives, industry best practices, and regulatory standards.
• Contribute to the development of HSEQ system reviews and assessments to drive performance improvements.

About You

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science discipline.
• 8 years of experience in safety operations within the oil and gas industry.
• Strong understanding of quality, safety, and environmental management systems.

Skills & Competencies:

• Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Solid knowledge of HSEQ regulations, auditing, and compliance processes.
