Job Title: E&I Construction Inspector
Location:  Rainbow Lake, AB
Length: 3-Month contract to start
Rotation: TBD

Description:
Construction supervision and quality control Inspection services for Conventional Assets. Supervision of contractors working on Electrical and Instrumentation work scopes, and Facility and Pipeline Mechanical construction work scopes related tasks as assigned by the Construction Superintendent.
  • Provide services to the client as an on-site representative and not a prime contractor
  • Monitoring contractor performance in Safety, Quality, Cost and Schedule; Ensuring these contractors follow applicable regulatory and the clients standards, regulations, laws and requirements
  • Completion of daily activity and cost reporting and submission to the applicable client individual
  • Completing the receipting requirements for materials and services provide by contractors for projects and retain the required information in the construction record
  • Ensuring the appropriate documentation along with the appropriate coding is completed on contractor invoicing
  • Approving the contractor schedules and approving any variances or additional expenditures from the proposed schedule.

We have a need for some short term Electrical and Instrumentation Supervision construction support for a few weeks August and September. We have two compressor installations ongoing and we need to support some scope at the Rainbow Lake Turnaround and the Elm worth Turnaround. We are still working on how best to allocate our existing two resources, but we know there will be some gaps.

Duties would be to monitor electrical contractor crews to ensure work is being performed safely and conforms to the contract or electrical code and provide assurance that the work being done is of good quality. They need to communicate with engineering to provide input on any change orders or discrepancies with drawings encountered during construction. They would need to report daily costs for labor and materials to the Mechanical Inspector.
