Position: HSE Advisor (7-8 years of experience)

Location: Zhuhai Province (Jinhan District), Jiangsu Province (Nantong District), Shandong Province (Penglai District)

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Advisor with 7-8 years of experience in a steel fabrication environment. This position requires a professional with a strong background in HSE practices within the manufacturing or fabrication industry. The candidate will not be considered for roles involving construction or offshore wind experience but should have extensive knowledge and hands-on expertise in steel fabrication processes. This position requires knowledge of safety management, environmental regulations, and best practices within steel fabrication, as recommended by the hiring manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• HSE Compliance: Ensure adherence to all local and international safety, health, and environmental regulations and standards in the steel fabrication process.
• Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments and hazard identification exercises in fabrication facilities, ensuring risks are mitigated before work begins.
• Training & Development: Provide ongoing safety training and support to fabrication teams, fostering a culture of safety and ensuring workers are knowledgeable about the latest safety practices.
• Audits & Inspections: Perform regular safety audits and site inspections, documenting safety performance, and developing corrective actions when necessary.
• Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents or near misses, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
• Reporting & Documentation: Maintain up-to-date records on safety training, incidents, audits, and compliance issues to ensure organizational adherence to HSE protocols.
• Collaboration: Work closely with fabrication managers, workers, and other departments to improve safety measures and promote a safe working environment.
• Continuous Improvement: Monitor, evaluate, and improve the safety procedures, ensuring they are relevant and effective for the steel fabrication industry.

Required Qualifications:

• 7-8 years of experience in an HSE role, specifically within steel fabrication (not construction or offshore wind).
• Strong understanding of steel fabrication safety standards, health protocols, and environmental requirements.
• Proven track record in incident management, risk assessments, and hazard identification.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to engage with all levels of staff and management.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment while maintaining focus on safety.
• Familiarity with local regulations and safety standards in Zhuhai Province, Jiangsu Province, and Shandong Province.

Preferred Skills:

• Certification in HSE management systems (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent).
• Experience in implementing ISO standards related to HSE in the manufacturing sector.
• Multilingual abilities (Mandarin preferred) to communicate effectively with local teams.

This position will be based in one of the following locations: Zhuhai Province (Jinhan District), Jiangsu Province (Nantong District), or Shandong Province (Penglai District).
