It operates various assets such as ports, terminals, and multimodal logistics assets chains in export-driven emerging markets for both liquid and dry cargos.
Main Purpose:

The Reliability Engineer ensures the technical integrity of assets and enhances the reliability and performance of storage tanks and other infrastructure. This role involves developing and implementing multi-year reliability plans, analyzing equipment performance, and recommending improvements. The Reliability Engineer defines asset strategies to adhere to compliance requirements and minimize downtime and maintenance costs while ensuring the safety and efficiency of the facility.
Key Responsibilities:


Safety & Environmental Compliance:

  • Ensure good working practices and housekeeping.
  • Comply with environmental and regulatory issues.

Economic & Operational Efficiency:

  • Support the organization in defining Maintenance Opex and Sustaining Capex budgets.
  • Continuously analyze and optimize maintenance strategies to ensure compliance and optimal asset performance.

Maintenance & Reliability:

  • Define and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
  • Develop and implement reliability strategies to improve asset performance.
  • Lead and conduct Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analyses (FMECA).
  • Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams.
  • Prepare multi-year maintenance sustaining Capex budgets.
  • Provide technical and reliability expertise for buy or repair decisions.

Safety & Compliance:

  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with relevant safety, health, and environmental regulations.
  • Monitor and report on backlog of compliance-related maintenance activities.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Optimize maintenance strategies and define corrective actions based on asset performance analyses.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) of equipment failures.
  • Lead and conduct Life Time Extension studies and present findings.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Instrumentation, Chemical, or related field).
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Reliability Engineering, preferably in O&G or liquid tank storage.
  • At least 4 years in a technical capacity in a major Liquid Petroleum Terminal.
  • Strong knowledge of storage tank design, maintenance, and safety regulations.
  • Experience with condition monitoring and predictive maintenance technologies.

Skills:

  • Proven analytical skills and experience with data analysis software.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., CMMS, AutoCAD, MS Project).
  • Attention to detail and excellent planning and scheduling abilities.
  • Full proficiency in Dutch and English.

Internal:

  • Technical Manager, Operations Manager, HSSE Manager, and other key players at the Terminal.

External:

  • Service providers, regulatory bodies, relevant authorities, and key strategic suppliers.
