Business Development Representative

Job Summary:

The Business Development role will identify and build relationships with new and existing customers to drive revenue and profitability through new opportunities. This position will report to the Director of Sales. This role closely collaborates with regional sales representatives as well as product line, operational, and executive management to develop and close new opportunities. A significant portion of this role will be dedicated to developing new opportunities with Independent Operators along with expanding our partnership with pipe suppliers (mills) and distributors.

Responsibilities:

  • Present, network, build rapport, and explain Tuboscope's value proposition of a portfolio of products and services that add value, maximize performance, and extend customer assets life. Supported by our vast geographic footprint, operational depth, and technical support.
  • Sourcing new opportunities and aligning partnership solutions with
    • Independent O&G Operators
    • Pipe Suppliers/Mills
    • Pipe Distributors
  • Developing and implementing commercial and strategic relationships with organizations in accordance with Tuboscope's overarching goals, objectives, and strategies.
  • Negotiating attractive partnership deals and ensuring mutually beneficial partnership terms that are in line with business objectives and strategy
  • Identify new market opportunities and bring them into the sales pipeline
  • Work partner driven opportunities, in collaboration with sales representatives and technical sales until close
  • Build and execute sales strategies to develop new opportunities
  • Manage and expand existing partner relationships as well as seeking out new ones
  • Manage coordination between customer's business needs/goals and Tuboscope's products/services and internal teams (sales, technical)
  • Determine customer activity levels (Exploration/Drilling/Completion/Production)
  • Contributes information to market strategy by monitoring competitive products and reactions from accounts.
  • Recommends new products and services by evaluating current product results; identifying needs to be filled.
  • Forecast revenues.
  • Determine market share.
  • Provide strategies and action plans to increase market share.
  • Utilize CRM to document activity and opportunities.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and industry events/training/conferences.
  • Other business development duties as assigned.


Qualifications/Requirements:

  • This position requires a minimum of five years' industry experience (Minimum of 5 Years); and a college degree.
  • Understanding of company's products, services, offerings, and business structure(s). Self-starter that is highly motivated and innovative enough to seek out and create opportunities.
  • Must have excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Have experience working with senior stakeholders to find win-win solutions.
  • Demonstrate the ability to communicate present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to do presentations, and captivate an audience
  • Ability to build rapport, create connections, and drive engagement with partners
  • Highly goal oriented, assertive and a hands-on, problem solver.
  • Familiarity with CRM or other sales management tools
