Sales Manager - Business Development
Your role and responsibilities
The Business Development Manager will specialize in establishing ABB's Automation & Electrification solutions within Canada's energy sector, including Oil & Gas, Power Generation & Water, Chemicals & Refining, and Life Sciences. • Identify and develop new business opportunities in traditional and non-traditional markets within Canada. • Lead complex, solution driven, pursuits and structure capture teams as needed. • Understand and communicate a broad portfolio of products, systems, and services in the Automation, Electrical, and Digital spaces. • Work at various levels within client organizations (plant and corporate levels). • Lead and/or participate in planning efforts with other ABB Sales and Business Development Managers. • Develop, write, and present business plans. • Meet or exceed individual sales targets and support the achievement of group objectives. • Maintain strong discipline and data quality in Sales Force (CRM).

Your role and responsibilities

Qualifications for the role
- 8+ years of senior management/sales experience with a proven track record in sales growth of systems/engineered solutions (automation a strong plus).
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong team player.
- Excellent communicator and presenter, comfortable with executive-level meetings, managing relationships, and building networks throughout client organizations.
- Proven negotiation skills and ability to sell value.
- Bachelor's Degree in business, commerce, or engineering. Technical sales background and training/sales certifications are an asset.
- Travel: As needed, up to 40%.
