Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager, US Offshore to join our U.S. Offshore distribution team. This Miami based role will focus on external wholesale coverage and business development across a defined US Offshore territory. The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding Aberdeen's presence among offshore financial intermediaries and institutions.

This role reports directly to the Head of LATAM and US Offshore Distribution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proactively develop and manage relationships with offshore intermediaries, including private banks, wirehouses, independent broker-dealers, family offices, and wealth platforms serving non-U.S. clients
  • Drive sales growth of Aberdeen's investment solutions including UCITS funds, mutual funds, ETFs, and separately managed accounts
  • Execute a strategic business plan for the assigned region, identifying new opportunities and cultivating long-term partnerships
  • Deliver compelling product presentations, portfolio updates, and market insights to offshore clients and prospects
  • Represent Aberdeen at conferences, events, and client meetings across the US Offshore Market
  • Collaborate with investment, marketing, and operational teams to ensure a coordinated client experience
  • Maintain accurate records of client activity and pipeline management in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce)
  • Keep abreast of competitive positioning, market trends, and evolving regulatory environments relevant to offshore distribution

Qualifications:
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is required; Portuguese proficiency would be plus
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or investment-related designation (MBA, CFA, CIMA, CFP) preferred
  • 5-8+ years of experience in asset management sales or business development, with a focus on the US Offshore/Latin America markets
  • Strong equity and fixed income investment knowledge, with practical industry insight and a deep understanding of traditional and alternative investment products
  • Proven track record of raising assets through intermediary relationships
  • Deep understanding of investment products and distribution models relevant to offshore clients (UCITS, ETFs, SMAs, alternatives)
  • FINRA Series 7 and 66 (or willingness to obtain within 120 days of hire)
  • Willingness and ability to travel to Latin America and select U.S. regions
  • High energy, self-motivated, and entrepreneurial with strong communication and relationship-building skills
