Main function of the job: -

 The Cost Controller will be responsible for various financial tasks and analysis in relation to company drilling activities including preparation of annual drilling and well services budget, preparation of drilling and well services contracts costs and monthly payments. He uses principles of accounting to prepare and analyse financial information for drilling activities and ensures compliance with the company’s policies, procedures and related internal controls.

Duties and Responsibilities: -

  • Prepare annual budget with coordination with drilling and finance departments.
  • Prepare periodic budget updates and monthly closing reports with coordination with drilling / well services and finance departments.
  • Responsible for reviewing the terms and conditions plus the finance part of call for tender documents, coordination with contracts departments and finance for any issues.
  • Coordinate with the finance department regarding any disputed invoices.
  • Coordinate with drilling and well services engineers to prepare any stock variations.
  • Coordinate with drilling and well services engineers for issue services orders and purchasing orders.
  • Coordinate with drilling and well services engineers to prepare list of needed material for drilling / well services for operations.
  • Process and verify invoices to ensure timely payment.
  • Ensure that assigned day-to-day operations are carried out in accordance with established policies, objectives and budget.
  • Arrange monthly meeting to discuss reports and finance related issues with management.
  • Ensure administrative link between drilling department and related services contracts.
  • Prepare and analyse costs incurred to the budget and assist in development cost reduction.
  • Monitor and keeping records of all contract’s invoices.
  • Ensures the finance department provides the invoices in shorter time possible to benefit in several contracts from a quick response discount for less than one month payment.
  • Maintain contract registration including PO and SO.
  • Prepare any stock variations and avoid the purchase of unnecessary materials.
  • Involve in the procurement process and responsible for details investigation of the market place.
  • Contact point with in drilling development for MMS software.
  • Perform creation/ modification /cancelation of a stock items in MMS catalogue with close coordination with procurement department.
  • Keep contact with company sites to follow up and make sure they receive the equipment or services described in PO or SO.

Qualification & Experience: -

  • Education: - B.Sc. Degree in accounting.
  • Experience: - Minimum 15 years in cost control in oil and gas industry including drilling and well services contracts.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and management skills.
  • Computer skills MS office

 

Summary of Terms & Conditions:

  • Work Cycle of 6 Months on / 3 weeks off
    • 8 Hours a day
