We have a current opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join an international drone inspection company specializing in wind turbines. The position will be remote based in the United States on a permanent basis.

We are searching for an experienced wind-industry professional who can devise the corporate business strategy and execute the said strategy. The candidate will work as part of an international team with colleagues in the US, Korea and Germany. The aim is to market the company's autonomous inspection services to wind OEMs and asset owners.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify new clients and partners to build positive and long-term relationships. Ideal candidates will have experience managing the entire business development process from lead generation to deal closing.
  • Engage with customers to identify their needs/pain points and communicate the insights within the company to improve product-market fit.
  • Lead US sales activity as an integral part of the US team (comprised of BD and operations). May be required to communicate with the customer regarding operational details such as project execution/delivery timeline.
  • Coordinate with team members in Korea and the US to calculate pricing, formulate strategy, and participate in competitive tenders. Participate in regular meetings with an international team (may involve out of typical office hour meetings)
  • Participate in trade shows, conferences to generate leads and also engage in periodic business travel throughout the US to meet with prospective customers.
  • Travel to customer sites (wind farms) to oversee project implementation, and demonstrations, sometimes with very short notices. Periodic international travel may also be required to support business development in other regions.
  • Able to flexibly handle multiple projects, time zones and business trips with no disqualifying traits in terms of visa applications or overseas travel



Requirements:

  • 5+ years of successful global business development experience in the wind industry.
  • Familiarity with drones, SaaS sales or wind O&M service sales.
  • Track record of identifying new business opportunities and driving results through collaboration with numerous stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Legal resident in United States
