JOB DESCRIPTION

Our dynamic Gdansk Customs team is expanding! Currently comprising five dedicated professionals and supported by a regional manager based in the UK, we are seeking a talented Customs Specialist to join our team.



With safety, quality, efficiency and customer service as a priority the Customs Specialist will be a critical part of the business. Using your freight forwarding knowledge, you will facilitate the completion of Import, Export customs declarations for shipments by Airfreight, Sea freight and Road freight. You will work with key stakeholders to ensure that customs clearance declarations are made in a timely manner to ensure that shipments are delivered on time and no delays are incurred.



Main duties:

• Carrying out import and export customs formalities (preparation of specific documentation, provision of information in order to establish the appropriate tariff frameworks, verification of the amount of customs duties on import)
• Review shipping documents for accuracy and for discrepancies.
• Creation of letter of Instruction
• Preparation and completion of customs entries (import & export)
• Checking the classification and valuation of goods
• Daily communication with internal Business Units
• Monitor clearance status of import/export entries
• Escalate any Import/Export related issue to Manager Europe Regional Compliance in a timely manner to avoid any delays in customs clearance

Our requirements:

• 2-3 years of experience in the freight forwarding role or customs
• Good knowledge of import/export and customs procedures
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related
• Computer literacy (Excel)
• English level - minimum B2
• Amazing team player
• Focused on details and well organized
