We are looking for a Lab Technician in Sarnia, Ontario for one of our large oil and gas clients, to support lab supervisors and chemists in conducting routine and non-routine laboratory analyses, including wet chemistry, on product and in-process samples to ensure quality control and support plant operations. This role includes calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment, accurate sample preparation, and data recording in compliance with standard operating procedures.
This is a 1 year contract only. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform laboratory tests and wet chemistry on various samples.
• Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments.
• Prepare chemical reagents, stock solutions, and standards.
• Record and maintain accurate data and test results.
• Assist in addressing quality assurance/control issues using analytical equipment.

Qualifications:

• Polytechnic diploma in Chemical, Process, or Technical Engineering.
• Proficient in basic computer applications.
• Preferably with experience in quality control systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs.
• Willingness to work under supervision and learn on the job.
