Airswift has been tasked to find a Lead Operations and Maintenance Engineer to work for one of our major clients based in Nanterre, France.
  • Contract Duration: 1 year (possibility of being renewed)
  • Start date: ASAP
  • Work Schedule: 5 days/week

Mission
  • Manage an O&M Engineering team and monitor Kpi
  • Support Pre-FEED, FEED and EPC project by developing the O&M Engineering scope
  • Guarantee from the project phase that the installations will be easily operable and exploitable in complete safety with good profitability.
  • Provide the best execution plan for initial operation activities to our clients.
  • Develop new methodologies to reduce Opex and ensure plant integrity.
  • Participate to the development of O&M methods

Execution
Management of the Operation and Maintenance execution from the mobilization and the training of the mobilized team to normal operation executions

Required competencies:
  • Ideally have previous experience on Oil & Gas Industry (specifically LNG) and new energies industry as hydrogen, in a similar or relevant position
  • Must have a recognized Technical qualification for the Position
  • Have confirmed experiences and knowledge to carryout efficiently and safely Start-Up and performance testing activities
  • Have a good command of spoken and written English
  • Engineering degree with experience in the fields of operation & maintenance
  • Strong recognized business expertise
  • Practical experience in operations of a facility plant and has the management and leadership skills to control the work activities and daily operations of the facilities
  • Demonstrated understanding of Quality Assurance and Quality Control required for the petroleum industry
  • A high level of self-motivation, strong interpersonal skills, ability to work within a multi-discipline integrated project team

Duties and Responsibilities: (Not limited to)
  • Guarantee that the Operations activities will take place under the conditions of Hygiene, health, safety, security and environment, quality, planning, costs
  • Develop O&M strategy to execute the OR & O&M activities for different business lines (digitalization, gas monetization, decarbonisation, offshore wind, H2 plant...)
  • Support Asset Life Excellence to deploy new O&M contracts
  • Participate to the implementation of the standards of the discipline then manage the system of improvement of the said discipline
  • Provide support for O&M proposals
  • Support O&M Engineering scope of work for future EPC (schedule, mobilization of required resources, deployment of sysems):
    • Development of the Operations Readiness program based on lesson learned
    • Participation to RAM studies
    • Involvement in operability and maintainability study
    • Development of Life Cycle Study
    • Lead subcontractors for the development of maintenance system
    • Interface with corrosion department for the development of inspection system
    • Development of Asset Integrity System
    • Development of shutdown plan
    • Development of typical lifting programs
  • Development of the training program and the Competency Assessment system
  • Improvement of hiring system to mobilize the future ops resources
  • Participate in the development of digital tools
  • Ensure training books and program are properly prepared according to EPC SoW
  • Ensure O&M Manuals are properly developed by subcontractors

O&M EXECUTION:
  • Transfer the O&M scope from home office to execution
  • Actively ensure compliance with all HSE requirements and responsibilities
  • Support O&M execution team to hire future ops team and ensure roles and responsibilities of all personnel are clearly defined and understood and new employees receive a comprehensive induction before commencing their duties
  • Manage EPC for the deployment of the Operation Management System in compliance with the contract sow
  • leading the Operations and Maintenance scope of work during EPC (Training, O&M Manuals, Operations Readiness) and preparing the Interim Period for the Operations from the commissioning till utility handover to COMPANY (schedule, mobilization plan, material, HSE,...).
The desired outcome being a facility during Interim Period, that on a day-to-day basis, has Construction, Commissioning, Operational and Maintenance activities, allows multiple disciplines to accomplish their daily activities efficiently and safely, in accordance with the project Safety Plan and the Facility Management Systems. The position requires that the incumbent display strong competencies in safety, technical and personnel management areas.
  • Follow-up and ensure the interface between the project and the subcontractor in charge to develop the Operating and Maintenance Manuals
  • Follow-up the consumable and material to guaranty the performance of the interim period for operations
  • Perform a key role in emergency response leadership and work management, in particular the application and administration of the Permit system and associated procedures

Required Competencies:
Qualification:
Petroleum, Mechanical or Chemical Eng. degree, or Higher National Certificate in Engineering or trade background (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation) or extensive operations experience.
Experience:
  • Ten years' combined experience in Oil and Gas Operations and projects, including:
  • Technical knowledge of maintenance management for gas treatment and processing, LNG production activities and utilities operations
  • Engineering degree with experience in the fields of operation & maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of troubleshooting process problems and upsets
  • Your strong recognized business expertise
  • English proficiency
  • Practical experience in maintenance of a facility plant and has the management and leadership skills to control the work activities and daily maintenance of the facilities
  • Strong management capability
  • Demonstrated understanding of Quality Assurance and Quality Control required for the petroleum industry
  • A high level of self-motivation, strong interpersonal skills, ability to work within a multi-discipline integrated project team
