Airswift is seeking for a Lead of Electrical, Instrument, Control & Telecoms to work with our client based in Qatar.
Job purpose:
  • Lead the execution oversight and hook-up of the offshore electrical, instrument, controls and telecoms scope of work on site encompassing major equipment and power management systems, pumps, generators, PAGA, DCS, ICSS. To ensure the highest level of safety and compliance during execution.

Qualifications:
Higher Qualification in Electrical Engineering [EICT]

Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience working in the field of ECIT EPC stage in the oil and gas industry with exposure to major equipment and power management systems, distributed control systems, PAGA. Should have in-depth knowledge and understanding of rotating equipment including auxiliaries and controls based on industry best practices.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in offshore safety culture.
  • Extensive offshore experience and knowledge in offshore rotating equipment codes and standards
  • Able to work in offshore environment for extensive period / rotation as job dictates

Key accountabilities:
  • Oversee EPC Contractor's EICT hook-up activities including validation of execution with full compliance to project specifications and procedures.
  • Provide input where required to the EPC Contractors execution strategy and procedures.
  • Identify offshore risks and synergies to minimize impact to the RFSU dates
  • Endorsement of offshore permits as required for execution.
  • Interface with the Company Discipline Specialist and Project Management Team (PMT) to support site queries ensuring compliance with the project scope with emphasis on safety and reliability.
  • Participate in workshops as required such as Schedule, Execution, Risk Assessments and HAZOP workshops.
  • Participate in offshore risk screening, PTW meetings and OIM meetings as required.
  • Provide technical and execution reviews of the project EITC related execution deliverables with respect to compliance to Company engineering standards, procedures, and best practices.
  • Support project quality improvement in Contractor's execution by leveraging experience, good oilfield practices to ensure safety, quality, integrity and execution are delivered.
