As an Electrical Senior Specialist, you will be a qualified electrician holding a valid PNG or Australian electrical license, with strong leadership and team management skills. You will work back-to-back with a mechanical specialist in the same position but will bring complementary electrical expertise to ensure both mechanical and electrical aspects of the project are covered this will require a very good mechanical and maintenance understanding from both fields. Must have in-depth knowledge of electrical systems, including integration with remote control and mining technologies, and be adept at compliance assessments to ensure safety and regulatory adherence in mining environments to site compliance standards. Key competencies include project management, innovation in technology integration, workload forecasting, performance monitoring, risk management, skills development and mentorship, stakeholder collaboration, advanced problem-solving, regulatory knowledge, and strategic planning abilities. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues, as well as providing training and mentoring to junior team members.

Essential skills and knowledge
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Trade equivalent qualification in Electrical/ Electrical Engineering or a related field
- At least 5+ years of experience in the mining industry
- Experience in the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems
- Knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
