Job Title: Senior Instrument Technician
Role Summary: The Senior Instrument Technician is an integral part of the Instrument Field Maintenance Team, responsible for executing preventive and corrective maintenance activities for field instrumentation within a large industrial complex.

Technical Maintenance Activities:

Perform high-quality maintenance of field instrumentation, ensuring flawless asset reliability.

Execute tasks with technical precision and efficiency, including both routine and turnaround activities.

Provide accurate feedback for knowledge sharing and maintain precise records in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

Competency and Development:

Report to the Instrument Supervisor and work towards achieving individual competency and training requirements within prescribed timelines.

Complete mandatory training programs, including COMPEX certification, to enable independent task execution.

Engage actively in maintenance smart systems, compliance programs, and technical development initiatives.

Collaboration and Reporting:

Interface with other departments and disciplines to ensure effective maintenance execution.

Participate in call-out duty rosters and quality assurance/control processes for field and workshop activities.

Identify and report spare part issues to the supervisor, ensuring timely follow-ups.

Performance Monitoring:

Contribute to achieving team key performance indicators (KPIs) such as compliance, schedule adherence, and accurate SAP history logging.

Utilize diagnostic systems effectively to monitor and interpret recommendations and alarms for smart devices and instrumentation.

Technical Expertise Required:
-
Instrumentation Maintenance:
-
Over 10 years of hands-on experience in field instrumentation maintenance within live industrial environments, such as oil and gas facilities.

Skilled in maintaining smart devices, including radar level instruments, valve positioners, and various flow transmitters.

Compressor Instrumentation:
-
Comprehensive knowledge of centrifugal compressor instrumentation, including vibration, speed, valve control, governors, and converters.

Collaborate with rotating equipment teams to support and execute related instrumentation tasks.

Valve Repairs:
-
Expertise in the maintenance and repair of control valves, on-off valves, and motor-operated valves (both onsite and in workshops).

DCS and IPS Systems:
-
Experience working with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Integrated Protection Systems (IPS).
-
Proficiency in diagnostics and monitoring using Foundation Fieldbus and HART devices.
-
