Essential skills and knowledge
- Manage all execution of electrical commissioning activities to achieve commissioning schedule on target with all safety requirements especially during SIMOPS
- Monitor the contractor electrical commissioning activities making sure the OPERCOM® methodology is respected and the system database ICAPS© is used properly
- Lead execution for electrical commissioning at offshore and keep commissioning execution committed to targets defined by the project management
- Monitoring of VENDORS activities, Punchlist clearance, full OTP etc.
- Monitoring and review the progress in ICAPS on daily basis
- Provide guidance and timely review on contractor’s commissioning execution plan and processes verifying fitness for purpose and compliance with contract requirements including codes and standards
- Ensure coordination and communication for site activities with other disciplines such as construction, hook-up and Completion Team
- Review and propose mitigation for Commissioning aspects of the Risk Management Plan and Monitor the mitigation when defined
- Review all Commissioning changes, including justification for cost and schedule impacts, in accordance with the MOC procedure
- Clearing of punch-list items
- Responsible for readiness of the main milestone of electrical system sub system (MC walkdown, RFC, RFSU, PSSR etc.)
- Attend to meetings as required, mentor the trainees to develop their project skills and experience while being on site; Maintain a register of lessons learned
Essential skills and knowledge
- Master’s degree in electrical or bachelor’s degree with minimum 10 years experience
- Minimum 10 years of total experiences with at least 6 years demonstrated as commissioning experience in major capital projects
- Fully familiar with commissioning of key electrical equipments such as UPS and HV and LV switchgear, VSR, normal and emergency power distribution, HVAC, Navigation Aid, ELICS/PMS, subsea cable and umbilical, transformer and electrical protection system
- Familiar with black out procedure and first energization
- Familiar with performance testing of facility as per contractual requirement
- Familiar with system completion database ICAPS and OPERCOM methodology
- Worldwide commissioning experience with contractors or under company in particular those involved in the Commissioning and start up support of Offshore production facilities
- Experiences for handling contractors, sub-contractors and vendors involved in the oil and gas industry and familiar with preparation of work pack and job card for offshore campaign.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on teamwork and the ability to communicate and interact within a PMT
- Application and in-depth knowledge of stakeholder specifications and a working knowledge of Industry standards.
- Conversant with ATEX/IEC regulations
