About the Role
We are seeking a Maintenance Electrical Engineer II to support the Woodside project in Perth. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to major energy sector projects while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and delivering maintenance engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance Strategy & Optimization
- Review and refine maintenance strategies to align with performance standards, regulatory requirements, and project-specific needs.
- Develop and manage CMMS maintenance master data for optimal performance.
Material & Spare Parts Management
- Identify critical spares and maintain accurate registers to enhance asset reliability.
- Audit and catalogue project-specific materials in CMMS (e.g., SAP/MAXIMO/JDE) per client guidelines.
Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare and update maintenance work instructions (PRT/MWI) for equipment upkeep.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements for Major Hazard Facilities and manage inspection programs for equipment, piping, and vessels.
Technical Support & Improvement Initiatives
- Provide leadership to operational and maintenance teams, fostering communication on safety, production, and cost improvements.
- Implement improvements based on recurring issues and conduct RCA, FMECA, and RCM analysis.
Engineering Support
- Review specifications and drawings, propose design modifications, and resolve discrepancies to improve plant reliability.
- Participate in peer reviews and provide technical advice as needed.
Requirements
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (essential).
- Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline, management, or project management (preferred).
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in maintenance engineering fundamentals and multidisciplinary project knowledge.
- Extensive experience with FMECA, RCA, RCM, and CMMS (SAP/MAXIMO/JDE).
- Familiarity with Australian and international standards and statutory requirements.
- Python or R programming knowledge (desired but not essential).
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of maintenance engineering experience, preferably in the oil & gas or similar industry.
- Proven ability to implement maintenance improvement projects and manage diverse portfolios.
