- Rate: £400 - £500 per day (Inside IR35)
- Duration: Minimum 10 years
- Location: UK (Hybrid)
- Eligibility: Must have the right to work in the UK
Role Overview:
The MEH Engineer will play a key role in reviewing and accepting design changes, managing interfaces between construction contractors and designers, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The role is part of a multidisciplinary team working on a classified plant within a highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the technical review and acceptance of design modifications
- Ensure compliance with nuclear, safety, and environmental regulations
- Approve non-conformances and design changes as the project progresses
- Collaborate with designers, safety case teams, and regulators
- Act as a key interface between construction contractors and engineering teams
Key Requirements:
- Strong MEH background in a highly regulated environment (nuclear, aircraft, petrochemical, or similar)
- Experience in the design and maintenance of heavy mechanical, electrical & HVAC power generation equipment
- Hands-on expertise in:
- Rotating equipment (pumps, motors, valves)
- Heat exchangers and pressure systems
- Piping design, erection, and welding
- Electrical systems and power distribution
- HVAC design, installation, and maintenance
- Instrumentation & Control (I&C) systems
- A degree in a relevant engineering discipline
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Experience in safety case development and regulatory compliance
