Job Details:

• Rate: £400 - £500 per day (Inside IR35)
• Duration: Minimum 10 years

Role Overview:

The MEH Engineer will play a key role in reviewing and accepting design changes, managing interfaces between construction contractors and designers, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The role is part of a multidisciplinary team working on a classified plant within a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical review and acceptance of design modifications
• Ensure compliance with nuclear, safety, and environmental regulations
• Approve non-conformances and design changes as the project progresses
• Collaborate with designers, safety case teams, and regulators
• Act as a key interface between construction contractors and engineering teams

Key Requirements:

• Strong MEH background in a highly regulated environment (nuclear, aircraft, petrochemical, or similar)
• Experience in the design and maintenance of heavy mechanical, electrical & HVAC power generation equipment
• Hands-on expertise in:
  • Rotating equipment (pumps, motors, valves)
  • Heat exchangers and pressure systems
  • Piping design, erection, and welding
  • Electrical systems and power distribution
  • HVAC design, installation, and maintenance
  • Instrumentation & Control (I&C) systems
• A degree in a relevant engineering discipline
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Experience in safety case development and regulatory compliance
