Function description

We are in search of a skilled Electrician for a project located in Taiwan. This role is designated for a specific project starting from the 10 th of March to the 25 th of April. There is possible long-term duration in case of candidate good performance. A 1 st Electrician on a rock dumping vessel is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all electrical systems onboard, ensuring the vessel's safe and efficient operation.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including power distribution, generators, transformers, and switchboards.
• Ensure proper functioning of vessel automation, control systems, and communication equipment.
• Support the maintenance of Dynamic Positioning (DP) systems , essential for precise vessel positioning.
• Assist with navigation and communication electronics.
• Work with high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) systems , ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
• Perform risk assessments and electrical safety checks.
• Ensure emergency generators, fire detection, and alarm systems are operational.

• HUET or BOSIET
• High Voltage
• DP Maintenance
• VCA Basic
• GWO Sea Survival, First Aid, Working at Height
