Wood is recruiting a Maintenance Execution Coordinator for Shell OneGas.
This vacancy is for a UK MEC position based between offshore & onshore offices (UK / NL). The rotation will be 2 weeks offshore / 2-week leave period / 4-week Great Yarmouth office period. The office period is to manage preparation of upcoming missions in conjunction with the onshore execution support squads for flawless mission delivery.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The purpose of the Maintenance Execution Coordinator (MEC) role is to manage the maintenance activities such that the operational requirements for optimum platform availability are met whilst achieving desired maintenance delivery /efficiency.
The MEC role holds a combination of coordinating tasks that will be executed from the vessel and/or from the office location (Great Yarmouth) but also with frontline maintenance supervision during the maintenance execution phase on the NUI platforms.
This frontline role will also lead delivery of the frontline maintenance process (FLM) to drive a 'Find & Fix' mentality where possible. Another key aspect of this role will be coaching of the frontline maintenance execution staff (technicians & chargehands) to aid team development through FLBM / DLOG including upskilling opportunities which will also be defined through this approach.
The MEC will also provide additional supervision support to the NUI OIM in respect to toolbox talks, implementation of Assist & Assure (A&A), management of mission delivery & LOD1 completion. Backlog reduction reviews will also be part of the frontline role to deliver accurate platform SAP status in respect to outstanding work requirements utilizing frontline team with adequate risk assessments applied.
1. Attend as part of standard work milestone meetings for upcoming missions. Where possible ensure NUI OIM & chargehand attendance (whilst on the installation)
2. As part of milestone process in conjunction with frontline team actively engage with the onshore team to ensure an optimal plan of work is scheduled for upcoming missions based on vessel skill set (accounting for leave, training etc)
3. Approve the frozen mission schedule as part of milestone process at -3 weeks
4. Communicate the future mission planned work schedule to NUI OIM / operations team & chargehands to validate permit to work can be issued when the job is scheduled, including isolations and preparing equipment for maintenance activities
5. Attend installation circa 75% of given mission to provide frontline leadership & support to execution staff. Note installations without IT access the expectation is that the MEC will attend periodically then perform normal duties via the vessel
6. Ensure work order completion is to the required standard via the chargehands prior to closing work orders with history recorded as part of closeout (where applicable)
7. Review notifications for completeness, clarity and priority level, rejecting unjustified work that does not meet the minimum requirements and directing work requests to the onshore team for CMPT
8. Decide on priorities in case of emerging conflicts on work schedule in mission.
9. Approve emerging work in mission for execution that meets approval criteria for classification as FLM (frontline maintenance) to drive a find & fix approach
10. Review work orders in backlog providing a clear portfolio of required work per asset including validation of backlog though risk assessment for deferral (utilizing frontline teams to support)
11. Evaluate if planned work orders meet operational requirements in conjunction with frontline technicians & manage change through Z6 process
12. Provide frontline coaching for team development
13. Ensure communication regarding return of equipment / materials following mission completion is aligned with process & managed to prevent waste / increased higher costs
14. Ensure platform housekeeping is to the required standard with specific attention to waste management
