The Hybrid-Electric team in Munich is looking for a student with a background in Electrical Drive Integration. The working student will support the Hybrid-Electric team in the field of aircraft electrification with focus on electrical propulsion concepts for aircraft, electric power distribution and system conceptual design & analysis while considering power electronics, system control and energy storage integration.

Job Description

You will be responsible for the planning, execution, and presentation of study results under the supervision of a dedicated mentor in the team. The task will involve investigations and studies regarding electrical d rives for aviation with focus on both power converter and electrical machine as well as modeling and simulation studies.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Studying on the Bachelor/Master semesters of Electrical Engineering or similar , preferable electrical drives and power electronics background.

• Proficiency with Matlab/Simulink or PLECS

• Knowledge about power electronics ar chitectures (single-level, multilevel converters)

• E xperience in the design of control systems for drive i nverters ( field oriented control , communication bus )

• Fluency in English

Desired qualifications:

• Knowledge of Aviation aspects for electric propulsion power distribution system

• Knowledge about electrical machines and their integration with the power converter

• Self-directed, highly motivated and team player attitude

• Ability to work in cross-functional global team in multi-cultural environments.
