We are currently seeking an Operations & Maintenance Manager, reporting directly to the Head of Pre-commissioning commissioning department to join our team based in Paris La Défense (Nanterre) - France.

About the mission we offer you:

The O&M Manager is responsible for leading the Operations and Maintenance scope of work during EPC (Training, O&M Manuals, Operations Readiness) and preparing the Interim Period for Operations from the system completion till utility handover to COMPANY (HSE, schedule, mobilization plan, material...).

The desired outcome being a facility during Interim Period, that on a day-to-day basis, has Construction, Commissioning, Operational and Maintenance activities, allows multiple disciplines to accomplish their daily activities efficiently and safely, in accordance with the project Safety Plan and the Facility Management Systems. The position requires that the incumbent display strong competencies in safety, technical and personnel management areas

Pre-Requisites:
  • Ideally have previous experience on Onshore Oil & Gas Industry (specifically LNG) in a similar or relevant position.
  • Must have a recognized technical qualification for the Position.
  • Have confirmed experiences and knowledge to carryout efficiently and safely Start-Up and performance testing activities.
  • Have a good command of spoken and written English
  • Engineering degree with strong experience in the fields of operation & maintenance.
  • Practical experience in operations of a facility plant and has the management and leadership skills to control the work activities and daily operations of the facilities
  • Experience in the implementation and operation of Safety Management Systems and Emergency Response Plans
  • Demonstrated understanding of Quality Assurance and Quality Control required for the petroleum industry
  • A high level of self-motivation, strong interpersonal skills, ability to work within a multi-discipline integrated project team


Duties and Responsibilities: (Not limited to);
  • Finalize all the preparation of the O&M scope of work to be developed during Engineering, Procurement and Construction (commissioning) (EPC) in relation with the project management, commissioning organisation, the client and O&M Management
  • Actively ensure all O&M scope is compliant with HSE requirements and responsibilities
  • Complete O&M mobilization chart and plan with the T.EN O&M management and Project Management. In accordance with the start-up sequence, define the ramp-up schedule
  • Identify with the staffing team the people to be mobilized in accordance with the mobilization schedule and the job tickets
  • Manage the training coordinator in collaboration with COMPANY training manager
  • Ensure all the training scope is deployed according to the contract
  • Follow-up the Operations Readiness program developed by the T.EN with potential partners or subcontractors
  • Follow-up and ensure the interface between the project and the subcontractor in charge to develop the Operating and Maintenance Manuals
  • Follow-up the consumable and material (including spare parts) to guaranty the performance of the interim period (period from system completion till Provisional Acceptance Certificate signature) for operations
  • Perform a key role in emergency response leadership and work management, in particular the application and administration of the Permit system and associated procedures
  • Ensure that the LNG is managed in accordance with the Facility Management Systems, Project Plans and in compliance with project requirements
  • Ensure all agreed operating requirements are effectively and efficiently completed and/ or exceeded.

About you:

Qualification:

Petroleum, Mechanical or Chemical Eng. degree, or Higher National Certificate in Engineering or trade background (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation) or extensive operations experience.

Experience:

Fifteen years combined experience in Oil and Gas Operations, commissioning and projects preferably on FPSOs, including:
  • Experience in management of multi/discipline operations, maintenance and HSE, for LNG and/or natural gas infrastructure facilities
  • Experience in management of major emergency response
  • Technical knowledge of gas treatment and processing, LNG production activities, marine and utilities operations
  • Technical knowledge of commissioning requirements for oil and gas facilities
  • Technical knowledge of PTW systems, HSE and Environment Management systems
  • Working knowledge of design, construction and pre-commissioning phases
  • Working knowledge of troubleshooting process problems and upsets
  • Assertiveness for effective communication for agreement / influencing / reporting to achieve the requirements
  • Working knowledge of computer windows office applications.
  • Experience in the implementation and operation of Safety Management Systems and Emergency Response Plans
  • Demonstrated understanding of Quality Assurance and Quality Control required for the petroleum industry.
  • Health, Safety & Environment
  • Ensure safe and environmentally responsible procedures and work practices are implemented during the EPC phases for O&M activities.
  • HSE processes and procedures are in place for all phases of development.
  • Align O&M specific PTW processes, procedures and management with either project or Company PTW system, relevant to phase of project.
  • Manage safe operations work practices during all operational phases of the project, including shift handovers and commissioning handovers, start-up and performance tests.

People & Management
  • Participate in the identification and recruitment process for operations personnel required to operate commissioned equipment through to PAC.
  • Ensure the effective integration of Company operations personnel by developing mobilization and demobilization plans if required
  • Support to ensure Project Schedule Milestones are achieved.

Communications
  • Ensure Operations Management are advised of all project issues impacting on operations.
  • Operations focal point for field interface for communications between commissioning group personnel.
  • Provide weekly reports detailed daily reports during shipyard and offshore phases.

Working conditions:
  • During the Operation Readiness development, this position can be localized in T.EN offices at Paris
  • Before the starting of commissioning activities, this position will be (re-)localized at site according to the country conditions.

Working relationship:
  • Interfaced with project, commissioning and client teams
  • According to project O&M manager will report to the project, operational or commissioning manager

According to the project and the O&M scope, O&M Managerwill have actively manage and animate de team an O&M engineers and technicians. In accordance of contract, O&M Manager will have to manage exclusively T.EN O&M team or an integrated O&M team composed of T.EN, JV and client O&M people.
